In January 2024, the first round of the Stratford-on-Avon District Council Community Climate Change Fund opened for applications to invest in work to tackle the climate emergency.
Ten projects were successful in the first round and most are now completed. You can view some case studies of the successful projects here.
Following feedback from round one, improvements were made to the eligibility criteria of the Fund and in January 2025, round two was launched. 14 projects received funding, and the list of successful projects from round two can be found here.
In April this year, Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Cabinet approved a further £150,000 to be allocated from the Climate Change Reserve to the Community Climate and Nature Fund (CCNF), for the next round of funding.

Applications will be assessed on a quarterly basis, meaning applicants will have to wait a maximum of three months to be informed whether they have been successful or not. Further information regarding the application procedure can be found here.
As part of the grant application process, the Climate Change Reserve Eligibility and Financial Approval Procedure (CCREFAP) sets out the types of projects that are eligible for funding.
These include:
Cllr Susan Juned, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, said: "We want to provide support and funding for as many organisations and community groups as possible. I have been immensely impressed by the work done by organisations and communities on projects undertaken in previous rounds. We hope this new format will encourage more people to apply and secure successful funding for their projects."
