Older People's Conference to help understand NHS

Stratford-on-Avon District's Senior Citizen's Action Network (SCAN) Annual Conference takes place next week on Tuesday 24 April and will focus on health and the NHS.  

This year's event will take place at Stratford Racecourse and will look at how the NHS works on a local level.  There will also be a focus on how we can support the NHS by taking some personal responsibility for our health.    

Speakers for the day range from South Warwickshire Foundation NHS Trust, South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Healthwatch Warwickshire.  

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 3.45pm.  

It's FREE to attend for the over 50's and will include refreshments and a buffet lunch.  

Places must be booked in advance by calling Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 01789 260108.  

SCAN meetings take place across the District in Alcester, Bidford, Henley-in-Arden, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shipston-on-Stour and Southam.   Ends
