On Thursday 11 October, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its eleventh neighbourhood plan referendum.  

Voters in Wellesbourne and Walton went to the polls to respond to the question:   "Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Wellesbourne and Walton to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"  

The results were as follows:  

The number of votes cast in favour of YES was 1,611 (93.33%)  

The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 115 (6.66%)  

Total number of votes cast 1,726 - 0 rejects.  

The turnout was 34.09%.
