Concessionary Parking Permit available now

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's concessionary parking permit for residents of state pension age has been available since 1 October 2023, at a cost of £50 per year.

The permits are available for residents aged 66 and over to be used at any time of the week at Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and Bridgeway Surface Car Park only, with a maximum stay of 4 hours (in any 24-hour period).  

Those eligible to purchase the permit can do so online Concessionary State Pension Age Permit or by visiting the District Council's offices in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will need to provide the following documents:

  • V5C vehicle registration certificate (log book).
  • Driving licence.
  • Valid insurance document confirming your address and vehicle registration number.

Cllr Lorraine Grocott, Portfolio Holder for Environmental and Neighbourhood services said: "I am pleased that we have been able to work with officers to reintroduce the concessionary parking permits so quickly into our new programme.  We are determined to deliver change on behalf of our residents and to support our local communities by encouraging more residents of state pension age to visit Stratford-upon-Avon and access our open spaces and leisure facilities."

One hour's free parking is still available at Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and Bridgeway Surface Car Park for all residents and visitors. Disabled parking for Blue Badge holders remains free of charge in all District Council car parks.
