Announcement in relation to a revised Leader's Statement

The Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council has announced the resignation of Councillor Matt Jennings from the Cabinet of the Council with immediate effect.

Councillor Jennings is currently the Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Inward Investment and will stand down from this role for personal reasons relating to work commitments.

Councillor Jennings will not be replaced in his role with the responsibilities for his Portfolio of services being transferred to the Portfolio Holder for ICT, Transformation, Tourism and Economic Development.

In paying tribute to the time that Councillor Jennings has spent in his time on the Cabinet, Cllr Tony Jefferson, Leader of the Council said: "Matt has been a very effective and diligent member of the Cabinet team. I will miss his commitment and contributions."

In his resignation letter to the Leader of the Council, Councillor Jennings stated: "This administration has achieved many outstanding milestones and its innovative approach means that the Council can offer high quality services to its residents. A hallmark of successful local government. I wish to offer the Cabinet my continued full support going forward".
