Food businesses in Stratford-on-Avon District can now find guidance and advice from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in one easy to access business guidance hub on http://www.food.gov.uk/here-to-help.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is working with the FSA to help support businesses with the new hub bringing together guidance on how to set up a food business, how to achieve a good food hygiene rating and manage allergens to keep customers safe.

Katie Pettifer, Director of Strategy and Regulatory Compliance at the Food Standards Agency said: "At a time when new food businesses are facing cost pressures and other challenges, the FSA and local authorities, such as Stratford-on-Avon District Council want to make it easier for businesses to do the right thing.

"Our new online hub has gathered the advice and guidance that any new food business needs to make a success of running a compliant and safe business."

Paul Reid, Environmental Health and Licensing Manager at Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: "The District Council's Environmental Health Team work with businesses daily, to promote food safety and encourage businesses to adopt good practices.

"The FSA Here to Help hub aims to support businesses and has all the documentation you need to ensure consumers continue to have access to food that is safe and we would encourage local businesses to use this valuable free resource."
