Young Entrepreneurs Take Centre Stage at Stratford Market with 'Cookie Crumbz'

Budding business stars from Stratford Girls' Grammar School are set to bring something sweet to the town centre this month as seven year 12's launch their very own business, Cookie Crumbz, at Rother Street Market on Friday 17th October.  

The project is part of a new community initiative led by LSD Promotions, operators of Rother Street Market and Waterside Upmarket, designed to give students hands-on experience of running a small business - from product development and branding to pricing, marketing, and customer engagement. Working together, the students have developed their brand, baked their delicious cookies, and will now sell them directly to the public from their very own market stall, provided free of charge by the market operator.

This unique collaboration not only supports young enterprise and entrepreneurship but also highlights the important role of local markets in nurturing future talent and building community connections.

All proceeds from the Cookie Crumbz stall will go towards the Chair of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Cllr Kate Rolfe's, chosen charity - Eco-Workshop.  

Eco-Workshop CIC is a not-for-profit organisation based in Stratford-upon-Avon that works to improve the wellbeing and lives of learning disabled and/or autistic adults. The charity supports and encourages its participants to achieve far more than they ever believed possible through stimulating and varied work-based activities. By learning diverse new skills and becoming part of the adult workforce, participants build confidence and independence. Each activity is tailored to individual abilities, gently and steadily extending skills and promoting personal growth in a safe, supportive environment.  

Local press and media representatives are warmly invited to visit Rother Street Market on Friday 17th October from 9am, meet the students behind Cookie Crumbz, and capture this inspiring community initiative in action.
