The Senior Citizen's Action Network (SCAN) Annual Conference takes place on Tuesday 6 October and will focus on 'Living Well with Cancer.'

This year's event will take place at Stratford Racecourse and will examine how people can live well with cancer.

It will explore the journey someone makes from the point of diagnosis, through treatment, pain management and complementary therapies, the role of diet and nutrition and making plans for the future.

You will also be able to hear from a support group and have the perspective of someone who has gone through this journey themselves.

The event starts at 9.15am and finishes at 3pm.

It's free to attend for the over 50's and will include refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Places must be booked in advance by calling the District Council on 01789 260490.

SCAN meetings take place across the District in Alcester, Bidford, Henley-in-Arden, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shipston-on-Stour and Southam.
