Bouncin’ fun with results

The annual secondary schools' basketball tournament, organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council, took place at Stratford Leisure and Visitor Centre during January and February.  

10 of the 11 District Secondary Schools took part: Alcester Grammar, Alcester High, Henley-in-Arden High, Kineton High, King Edward VI Grammar, Shipston High School, Southam College, St. Benedict's Catholic High, Stratford Girls Grammar and Studley High for Under 13s, Under 15s and Under 16s boys, and Under 13s and Under 16s girls.  

Congratulations go to Shipston High School, who managed to secure a clean sweep in all of the boys' tournaments with each team being crowned 2007 champions for their age range.  

St. Benedict's Catholic High School, Alcester gave a similar performance making them champions in the girls' tournaments.  

The tournaments were played in a good spirit and each competitor was awarded a certificate of participation.
