Stratford-on-Avon District Council and The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust are jointly hosting a Dutch production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It", by The Shakespeare Theatre Diever.

The District Council has an historic link with the Dutch Village of Diever.   The all Dutch production will be held in the gardens of Hall's Croft, Old Town, Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday 15 September 2007 and Sunday 16 September 2007 both commencing at 7.00 pm, tickets for which are free.

"In 1987 Councillor Fred Parrott promised to do his utmost to enable the Theatre Company of Diever to perform in Stratford. This became a reality in 1988," says Councillor Stuart Beese, Chairman of Stratford-on-Avon District Council.

"And 20 years on it has become a reality again, Councillor Mike Brain last year's Chairman of the Council and I were so impressed by the dedication to Shakespeare in Diever when we visited last year to celebrate 60 years of Shakespeare in Diever, that we wanted this to be a year to remember for the group from Diever."

For more information about the Diever Company or tickets, please contact the Chairman's Secretary, Claire Johnson, on 01789 260111.
