District Chairman Donates to Local Charity

£2,000 was presented to Stratford-upon-Avon and District Ambulance Association run by St. John's Ambulance, as part of the charity fundraising collections organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Past-Chairman, Councillor Mike Brain during his term of office.  

During his term of office, Councillor Mike Brain raised in excess of £13,000 for his Chairman's Charities; The Shakespeare Hospice, St. John Ambulance, Stratford Division, and Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.   Events hosted by, or in conjunction with, the Chairman included: a Valentine's Ball, District Council Officers' Dress Down Day, Musical Concerts, Chairman's Coffee Morning at the Council Offices, Admington Fun Ride and collections from the Bulldog Bash and Global Gathering events.  

The District Council's Chairman for 2007-08 is Councillor Stuart Beese who has chosen The Alzheimer's Society, South Warwickshire Branch, and Springfield MIND as his Chairman's Charities for the year.
