Stratford-on-Avon District Council's web team have been busy changing the Council's website to make it more "user friendly" for District residents, visitors to the area and the local media. Features that will be visibly different are:

  • refreshed and revised Home Page menu (to make navigation clearer)
  • side menus with highlighted tabs in all sections showing where you are in the website
  • new homepage header banner to be used to highlight important (short term) events
  • "popular topics" box to highlight areas of the website that receive the most visitors to be easily found
  • all pages are now tracked with Google Analytics, so they can see exactly how the site is performing, and keep on top of the site to keep it up-to-date and interesting.

The website is just one of the ways that Stratford-on-Avon District Council is providing 100% of applicable services electronic, making information more accessible to all people at times to suit them therefore fulfilling one of the Corporate Aims of developing inclusive communities.

The web team are currently in the concept development phase of a completely new council website, set for launch in 2008.

If you are having difficulty navigating your way around the new layout, or have any suggestions, please contact the Web Team, Sam Hamilton or Simon Hume, on 01789 260442/260466 or email them at webteam@stratford-dc.gov.uk, all feedback is welcome.
