Change to waste collection services over Easter

Due to the Easter Bank Holiday there will be no collection of refuse or recycling on Friday 21 March 2008 or Monday 24 March 2008.  

All refuse and recycling collections will be delayed by one day from Good Friday until the following weekend. Shown below are the revised dates of your refuse and recycling collections.  

See list below for usual day of collection and collection date over Easter, during 17 - 22 March:

  • MONDAY - 17th March 
  • TUESDAY - 18th March
  • WEDNESDAY - 19th March
  • THURSDAY - 20th March
  • FRIDAY - Saturday 22nd March 

See list below for usual day of collection and collection date over Easter, during 24 - 29 March:

  • MONDAY - Tuesday 25th March
  • TUESDAY - Wednesday 26th March
  • WEDNESDAY - Thursday 27th March
  • THURSDAY - Friday 28th March
  • FRIDAY - Saturday 29th   March

From August 2008 onwards, kerbside refuse and recycling collections will be changing.   For the majority of residents, the new service will involve collections from 3 designated wheeled bins.  

More information will be distributed over the coming weeks and District Council officers will be hosting road shows in a parish near you over the summer to answer any questions.
