Stratford-on-Avon District Council's refuse and recycling service is changing in August 2008 and District Council officers are out and about the District promoting the changes.

The 'Are you ready?'  road show hits Stratford Racecourse at the Stratford Car Boot, Aston Cantlow Garden Club and Long Itchington Village Carnival  this Bank Holiday weekend.

Saturday 24 May
8am to 1pm
Stratford Car Boot, Stratford Racecourse, Stratford-upon-Avon

Sunday 25 May
11am to 1pm
Aston Cantlow Gardening Club, Wilmcote Village Hall

Monday 26 May
2pm to 5pm
Long Itchington Village Carnival, Grounds of Primary School, Stockton Road

District Council officers will be giving out information and answering any questions residents may have about the new service.

The new service is a wheeled bin collection service which will include cardboard, plastic bottles and a weekly collection of kitchen waste.

The new service aims to:

  • Decrease the District's waste
  • Increase recycling
  • Provide better value for money.
