Stratford-on-Avon District Council's refuse and recycling service is changing in August 2008 and District Council officers are out and about the District promoting the changes.

The 'Are you ready?'  Roadshow this weekend can be found at on Saturday 21 June at Alcester Somerfield supermarket and Snitterfield Village Fete on Sunday 22 June.  

Saturday 21 June                
10am - 1pm  Alcester Somerfield supermarket                     

Sunday 22 June
12 noon - 4pm  Snitterfield Village Fete

District Council officers will be giving out information and answering any questions residents may have about the new service.   

The new service is a wheeled bin collection service which will include cardboard, plastic bottles and a weekly collection of kitchen waste.  

The new service aims to:  

  • Decrease the District's waste 
  • Increase recycling
  • Provide better value for money.
