A chance to practice your skills and tricks!   If so, come along this Saturday 13 September to Stratford High School from 12noon - 2.30pm to try out Stratford-on-Avon District Council's mobile skate park and 1/2 pipe for free!

The skate park is designed to provide for riders of all standards from novice to experienced level. The flexibility of how the ramps can be set out and used with each other offers numerous opportunities for all skaters and boarders to challenge their skill and develop new tricks.   Kit available to try out your skills will be:

  • ½ pipe
  • A series of ramps, driveways and fun boxes
  • Grinding bars and flyoffs

Free taster sessions will be available to everyone wanting to give the new park and ½ pipe a go, along with pads and skateboards provided by the District Council.

The new skate park proved a huge hit at the recent National Play Day event, hosted by the District Council, where over 200 young people tried out a whole range of activities from surf simulations and a mobile climbing wall to an inflatable assault course and football tournaments.

For more information about this, and any other activities provided by the District Council, please contact Chris Fennell, Community Leisure Manager on 01789 260646.
