Last Sunday, 15th March staff from both Stratford District Council and Warwick District Council battled it out on the pitch for a bi-annual football event which took place on the astroturf at Myhton School, Warwick. The result after 90 minutes being 4-1 to Warwick District Council.

A donation was made from Stratford District Councils team to the Chairman of Warwick District Councils chosen charities which are Myton Hospice and Safeline.

The Chairman of Warwick District Council, Councillor Judy Falp then presented the Chairmans Shield to Captain of Warwick District Councils winning team, Matt Hammond, with a trophy for Mike Powell, referee who very kindly officiated the match and Man of the Match  Nick Gray from Warwick District Council.

Both organisers Rachel Gray from Stratford District Council and Nick Gray from Warwick District Council would like to thank all those who took part and supported the event, which was deemed a great success and we look forward to the re-match which will take place later this year.
