A public inquiry starts on Wednesday 25 March, following an appeal by Newtown Vehicle Rentals Ltd. 

The land in question is that adjacent to their Tanworth Lane Depot, Alcester Road, Beoley Redditch, B98 9EJ.

The appeal relates to enforcement action undertaken by Stratford-on-Avon District Council in relation to engineering operations involving the importation of material and raising of ground levels on the land, together with laying of hard surfacing, to create a vehicle parking/storage area and the change of use of the land from sports/playing field to use for parking/storage of vehicles in connection with the vehicle hire/rental business, all without the benefit of planning permission.

The inquiry, expected to last for 2 days, will be held at the Council Offices, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon starting at 10am.  A Government Planning Inspector will preside over the inquiry.  The Inspectors Reference is: APP/J3720/C/08/2082247

Members of the public may attend the inquiry and express their view at the discretion of the inspector.
