Young people in Stratford have an opportunity to get their skates on over the half-term holiday, thanks to Warwickshire County Council's Positive about Young People programme.

Working in partnership with Stratford District Council with funding from the Big Lottery Fund, a free mobile skate park will be set up on selected days offering supervised sessions at two locations:

  • Southam College on Wednesday 2 June between 10am and 1pm;
  • Lower Quinton Village Hall on Friday 4 June between 10am and 1pm.

Participants will be able to bring their own Skateboards, BMX bikes, roller blades and push scooters, however all riders must wear safety equipment (a limited supply will be available).

Mark Bolton, Operations Development Manager for Warwickshire County Council's Positive about Young People programme, said: "Young people can benefit from a free activity over the half term break that helps keeps them active, while having fun in a supervised environment.

"The event is always very popular so we recommend people get in early with their own equipment and safety gear to avoid any disappointment."
