Did you know you can now recycle more materials with Stratford-on-Avon District Council's doorstep recycling service?

You can now recycle your firm plastic packaging such as fruit punnets, margarine tubs and yoghurt pots; regardless of their colour. Aluminuim foil has also been added to the list and includes the foil on food packaging and bottles, as well as your clean used kitchen foil.

To help residents recycle, Officers will once again be out and about across the District at a variety of events in spring and summer - from Parish Annual Meetings to Carnivals and Green Fayres, promoting the current refuse and recycling service.

The next refuse and recycling road shows, where District Council Officer's will be to answer your questions, are at:

  • Southam Carnival on Monday 31 May from 2pm to 5pm at the Recreation Ground.
  • Morrisons Supermarket in Stratford-upon-Avon on Friday 4 June from 9.30am to 12noon.
  • Harbury Carnival on the playing fields on Saturday 12 June from 1pm to 4.30pm.
  • Alcester's Annual Street Market on Sunday 13 June from 11am to 5pm
