Civil Enforcement Officers, better known as Parking Attendants are just like Marmite you either love them or hate them.  But the Civil Enforcement Officers from Stratford-on-Avon District do have a heart as they took part in the Stratford Lions Raft Race last weekend to raise money for Stratford's Shopmobility.

So far the total amount raised is approximately £240 and this will go towards purchasing new equipment and mobility aids.

Shopmobility allows people with mobility problems to go shopping around the town by borrowing motorised scooters, wheelchairs and other mobility aids.  The service, provided by the District Council, is free to all members of the public who have mobility problems. Free parking for shopmobility users is available at the site.

Times of opening are 10am to 3pm on Mondays, 9am to 4.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday and Sundays from July to August 10am to 4pm.

Anyone wishing to use the service can pre-book the equipment by calling 01789 414534, alternatively just drop in for a coffee and a chat.
