Stratford-on-Avon District Council was approached concerning the arrangements and payments due to the Council by Stratford Football Club in respect to a loan given in 2005.

On Monday 18 July Cabinet has resolved, subject to call-in, to restructure payments, writing off £14,899 in interest and to waive £6,876 per annum for the next 5 years having regard for the valuable community benefits provided by the football club.

Councillor Chris Saint, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: “Any response to this decision from the football club will be announced in due course."
