Stratford-on-Avon District Council has begun a review of open space, sport and recreation provision across the district.

The aim is to ensure that local communities have access to facilities and services that meet their sporting, leisure and recreational needs, both now and in the future.

The review will cover a wide range of open spaces, from parks and gardens, to outdoor sports, children's play areas and allotments.

Councillor Gillian Roache, Planning Portfolio says: "I hope that residents will take this opportunity to inform the future development of sports and leisure developments across the District. Let us know your views."

As part of the review, the District Council is keen to know what you think about existing sports and open space facilities in your local area. Please go online and fill out the questionnaire at http://www.stratford.gov.uk/survey/open_spaces/_open_space__sport_and_recreation_questionnaire.htm

Please encourage your friends and family to fill it in as well!

If you have any questions about the review or would like to receive a paper copy of the questionnaire, please contact Miriam Owen at Stratford District Council on 01789 260332 or  e-mail miriam.owen@stratford-dc.gov.uk.

Deadline for responses Friday 3 September 2010.
