A public inquiry starts this week on Tuesday 12 August 2014, following an appeal by Tom Brazil against the granting of a temporary planning permission for the use of land at Crossroads Caravan Park, Darlingscott Road, Shipston-on-Stour.
The appeal relates to the use of the land for the stationing of caravans for residential purposes for 16 gypsy pitches together with ancillary utility/dayrooms and the retention of existing access arrangements, hardstandings and boundary treatments for which the Appellants wish for planning permission to be granted on a permanent, rather than temporary, basis.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council seeks to defend the decision to only grant a temporary planning permission at the appeal Inquiry on the following grounds:
The inquiry, expected to last for 3 days, will be held at the Council Offices, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon starting at 10am. A Government Planning Inspector will preside over the inquiry.
Members of the public may attend the inquiry and express their view – at the discretion of the inspector.
