Unauthorised Encampments

Stratford-on-Avon District Council has signed up to The Warwickshire Protocol 2017 - Dealing with Unauthorised Encampments in Warwickshire. This protocol is aimed at ensuring that the response to unauthorised encampments from local authorities, private landowners, the police and other salient agencies is cohesive, consistent, efficient and effective. Maintaining public confidence and upholding the law whilst being cognisant and sensitive to the rights of the Gypsy and Travelling communities must always be a core aim.

This protocol seeks to bring cohesion, consistency and sustainable effectiveness to the challenge of dealing with unauthorised encampments.
