The application closing date to have the £150 rebate credited direct to bank accounts closed on 31 July 2022.
To make sure nobody loses out on receiving the £150, everyone who has not claimed but who is eligible will have £150 credited to their council tax account by the end of September 2022.
This is the date the Government has told all Councils payments must have been made by.
When the £150 has been credited to your account a new council tax bill with adjusted instalments will be sent out with an accompanying letter.
In the meantime please try to pay your council tax as normal.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council has decided that payments will be made to households that have their sole or main residence in a property as at 1st April 2022.
Government guidance to Local Councils is use the funding to support those households on the lowest incomes to help with the increased fuel costs.
The Government has allocated limited funding for the Discretionary Scheme and therefore Stratford on Avon District Council will have two main groups we will be helping.
1) A single one-off payment of £150.00 will be awarded to any household who resides in a property in Band E, F, G and H where Local Council Tax Reduction (LCTR) was in payment as at 1st April 2022
2) There will also be a single “top up" amount for households in properties in Band A, B, C and D where LCTR was in payment as at 1st April 2022 of £32.00.
When the payment has been credited to your account a new council tax bill with adjusted instalments will be sent out with an accompanying letter.
However, those who are in Band E and received £150.00 because they were in receipt of council tax disabled reduction will not get a further payment of £150.00.
