Brailes Village Hall were successful in their application for £20,000 for a new kitchen.

Brailes Village Hall is a very busy community space, hosting classes, parties and other events throughout the year. The well-proportioned kitchen is a big draw, providing plenty of space to cater for up to 200 people using the hall. It was, however, installed in the 1970s and is in need of modernisation. The funding will go towards new commercial-grade units and worktops, improved storage, new appliances and energy efficient ceiling lights.

Brailes Village Hall Trustees say:
"We are delighted to be awarded the community grant to update our dated, worn kitchen. It will be a great enhancement to the facilities on offer at the hall, to encourage new bookings as a good catering kitchen, and improve facilities for regular bookings like coffee mornings to larger community events. We look forward to work beginning in the summer to fit in with the quieter time in the hall."
We will update on the finished project once it has been completed, so watch this space.
In Memory
Every Summer the Village Hall and associated Pavilion and playing field host the Brailes Show, a community event including a flower and produce show, vintage tractors and cars, dog show, local business stalls, lots of food and drink and so much more. The Show was established during the Second World War to raise funds in the support of the War Effort and the Wings appeal. Following the War, the Show continues and plays a vital role in raising money for the Village Hall and playing field, as well as other local charities and groups. You can find out more about the upcoming show on the Brailes Show website.
