Join us for a fantastic day of celebrating our Armed Forces Community

Armed Forces Week (22-27 June 2026) is a national campaign to build public understanding and support for the Armed Forces community; regulars, reserves, veterans, cadets, cadet adult volunteers and
military families. It culminates in Armed Forces Day (27 June), this year in the Historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

Armed Forces Day is about celebrating and thanking the entire Military community. From fighter pilots and communications experts, to tank drivers and cyber warriors.

Events happening in Stratford-upon-Avon

There are two events happening in Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday 27 June 2026

A short service to include a flag raising. This event is brought to you by the Royal British Legion - Stratford Branch and Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council

• Where: Garden of Remembrance, Old Town, Stratford-upon-Avon
• Time: 10am (please arrive from 9:50am)

5 a-side Football Tournament

Bringing together teams from across the region for a day of football, fun and friendly competition from the Police team showing they can chase a football as well as a suspect and to the veterans where every squad is ready to play. Expect fast paced, questionable tactics, heroic saves and teams ready to run their socks off. Thank you to Everyone Active for supporting this event.

Recreation Ground and Sports Pavilion

The bandstand will be alive with music, creating the perfect backdrop as we celebrate our regulars, reserves, veterans, cadets and military families.

Follow the mouth-watering aroma to Pig Roast Man, grab a refreshing drink from Sip 'n' Swig, and cool down with a delicious ice cream before diving into action on one of the assault courses.

Throughout the day meet members of the Armed Forces, explore displays, ask questions and discover more about the incredible work they do.
