A chance to have your say…..Taxi Fares

General Purposes Licensing Committee, at its meeting of 16 September 2008, agreed to consult on changes in taxi fares in Stratford-on-Avon District for Hackney Carriage vehicles (those waiting at designated taxi ranks around the District).    

Some of these changes relate to the meter fares charged whilst other changes permit an unlimited booking fee at a rate to be agreed with the hirer for journeys which begin and end outside Stratford Town.  

Changes will be implemented unless any comments are received, which would prompt the Committee to reconsider.  

Changes include:

• Maximum fares and tariffs 
• Mileage charges 
• Extra charges, including booking fees  

The proposed Table of Fares can be viewed at the District Council Offices or online at Comments should be sent in writing to the Head of Environment at Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Robert Weeks, and received by 5pm on Thursday 9 October 2008
