Last Sunday (9 November) staff of both Stratford-on-Avon District Council and the Grosvenor Hotel battled the wind to entertain all who attended with a great skill, seeing the Grosvenor Hotel being defeated by 4 goals to 0.
A staggering £750.50 was raised through ticket sales as well as hot food, cakes and drinks as well as a raffle, face painting and a disco.
One event available, the raffle, was particularly popular, with a top prize of golf x 4 at Ingon Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Club, raising over £150.00 alone.
Both the District Council and the Grosvenor Hotel would like to thank over 80 people who attended this community charity event helping to raise money in aid of Children in Need, as well as Stratford Town Football Club who donated the pitch free and Dion Dublin who opened the event giving some celebrity status!
