Stratford-on-Avon District Council officials preparing for this weekend's Global Gathering 2010 dance event at Long Marston airfield in south Warwickshire have issued a contact number for local residents in the event of any noise complaints. The event will run from 12noon on Friday 30 July to 6am on Sunday 1 August.

The organisers, Angel Festivals Ltd, have a permanent licence for this 2-day event, with an audience of 55,000, which was applied for from Stratford-on-Avon District Council as the Licensing Authority for the District in 2007. Environmental Health Officers will be conducting noise monitoring throughout the event for any breaches of the licence conditions.
Sound checks to test the systems and set the levels will take place between 12noon and 6pm on Thursday and from 10am on Friday.
Warwickshire Police and Stratford District Council are working together at Global Gathering to protect the community and with the organisers, Angel Festivals Ltd to make this a safe and enjoyable event.
