Stratford-on-Avon District Council, in partnership with its contractor Biffa Waste Services Limited, provides a litter picking service throughout the year to ensure high environmental standards are maintained. Every road, road side pavement and verge in the district is cleared of litter at least once every eight weeks. Town centres, areas of high usage and 'hot spots' are cleaned more often.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council, in partnership with its contractor Biffa Waste Services Limited, provides a channel sweeping service. All roads in the district with a kerb are swept at least three times a year to remove detritus and debris.
If you are organising an event to keep our district litter-free, either as a litter clean-up group, business, school or on your own, we can provide support by loaning equipment such as litter picking sticks and graffiti removal kits. We can also provide refuse and recycling sacks and disposable gloves. We may also be able to arrange for any litter collected during the event to be removed.
More details of guidance on community litter picks / clean-ups is available from Keep Britain Tidy.
