Housing Strategy 2006-2011

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Housing Strategy covering the period 2006 - 2011, which includes an action plan and details of how the strategy will be delivered, is now available.

Although we have produced this strategy, it has been developed in partnership and following extensive consultation with groups which include the residents of the District, service users, partner organisations, voluntary organisations, older people's groups, the Citizens Panel and young people's groups. The Council also organised a Housing Strategy consultation event at which information was gathered via question and answer sessions, workshop discussions and evaluation.

In formulating this strategy, the Council has also considered what is expected by central government, commitments made in existing plans and known housing and support needs within the District.

The Council would like to thank everyone who made a contribution as part of the consultation process.

The strategy is reviewed annually, and the action plan is regularly reported to the Council's Housing Advisory Panel. The 2007 review of the strategy, and the latest action plan are available as downloadable documents on the right hand side of this page.
