Walking & Cycling

There are many pleasant environments suitable for walking within the district. If you're looking for a good route, Walking Britain is a national website which has a wide range of walking information.

Walking in Warwickshire also provides free downloads of walks across Warwickshire and the Stratford area.

Also, podcast walking tours of Shipston-on-Stour, Compton Verney and Southam are available from the Shakespeare Country website.

If you're looking for cycling routes around the district there is an excellent user submitted guide available on the Map My Ride website. Warwickshire cycling routes can also be found on the Cycle Route website, along with local cycling clubs.

Warwickshire County Council also provide a comprehensive list of popular cycle routes and mountain bike challenge routes around Warwickshire.

The County Council also have information regarding cycling to school, road safety information and tips if you are just starting out in cycling. Cycle route consultations on proposed cycle routes can also be found on the County's website.

If you are just visiting the Stratford-on-Avon area, and would like to hire a bicycle, then Stratford Bike Hire could help.
