UBUS is the new community transport, which replaces the Community Links service. The partner funded service operates on a dial-a-bus basis with some important service improvements.
The service is for all residents of any age, wherever they may live in the district, stuck for transport to travel locally on weekdays, between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
The scheme is for you where you have a general need for local transport and:
- Cannot access public transport because of mobility problems or other issues or
- Live in an isolated location with no, or infrequent, levels of public transport.
To register for the service or to make a booking please call 01789 264491 between 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
You can book your journey up to a maximum of a week ahead and a minimum of a day before travel. The UBUS Booking Centre will now confirm your journey details on the day of booking rather than a day before travel and all UBUS passengers will be provided with a Membership Number.
Warwickshire Rural Community Council Transport

The service offers affordable transport for community and voluntary groups, school transport services for Warwickshire County Council and a volunteer car scheme in Warwick District.
The 15 and 16 seater minibuses are fully wheelchair accessible and can be hired by community and voluntary organisations as well as being used by older people, those who are rurally isolated, people who have a physical or learning disability and for educational purposes.
Volunteer drivers take eligible residents on outings which include shopping trips, lunch outings and cultural visits. For further information please call 01789 471595.
VASA Transport Service for Medical Appointments
VASA's Volunteer Transport Service takes people who are without their own transport to medical appointments, e.g. doctors surgeries, dentists, hospitals and day centres. The service operates across Stratford District, regularly taking people to appointments further afield, e.g. the hospitals in Coventry and Birmingham.
The door-to-door service is available to anyone with a genuine need for transport and is essential to vulnerable people who would otherwise struggle to keep medical appointments. VASA asks for three working days' notice prior to a journey and for the volunteer driver's mileage costs to be paid, currently at the rate of 45p per mile.
For more information about the service, or to book a journey, please contact us by telephone 01789 262886, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that the service is only for medical journeys.
