Volunteer Award

The 2018 winner of the Volunteer Award is Anne Prior, Wellesbourne Sports & Community Centre.

Anne's contribution to Wellesbourne Sports & Community Centre (WSCC), on the former football and social club site, has been outstanding. The WSCC is a fantastic new venue for sporting activity, with a fitness suite, spin studio, a floodlit 3G multi-use games area and two tennis courts/netball court. Anne volunteered to chair the Council committee tasked with delivering a sports centre, which public consultation has shown was a priority for people in Wellesbourne. Since then she has worked tirelessly on the project, leading the team of professionals, councillors and volunteers who have made it happen. Anne has been on site almost every single day since the project started and has been involved in every single detail.
