Evidence Documents received by the Council in 2014 for the purpose of informing the Core Strategy.

Coventry & Warwickshire Strategic Employment Land Study

Undertaken by Atkins for the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP). The purpose of the study was to provide a robust evidence base and associated policy recommendations to assist in the preparation of CWLEP's Strategic Economic Plan and to also provide evidence for the local authorities within the CWLEP area to inform the preparation or revision of each Council's Development Plan. Received by the Cabinet on 3 November 2014.

Coventry & Warwickshire Joint SMHA Addendum

An addendum has been produced by GL Hearne to incorporate information from the 2012 Sub-National Population Projections and to consider the impact of economic forcasts. The implications of this addendum will be considered by the Council and its sub-regional partners in the Coventry and Warwickshire Strategic Housing Market Area (SHMA)

Open Space, Sport and Recreation Assessment

Undertaken by ARUP in September 2014, this is an update to the PPG17 2011 Study. It updates provision in the District since 2011 and identifies future needs to 2031, where additional provision is needed and upgrades or additional major facilities.

Stratford-on-Avon District Gypsy & Traveller Accommodation Assessment - 2014 Update

Undertaken by Opinion Research Studies (ORS) and updates the assessment of need in the 2011 Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment, reflecting changes in policy at the national level and developments in the approach to undertaking such studies. Received by the Cabinet on 8 September 2014.

Renewable Energy Landscape Sensitivity Study

Undertaken by White Consultants and sets out the findings of the sensitivity and capacity of landscape character types in Stratford District to various scales of wind and solar development. Received by the Cabinet on 8 September 2014.

Retail Studies update

Commentary and Explanatory Report prepared by Colliers International taking account of revised population forecasts from a requirement for 10,800 homes over a plan period 20011 -2031. Received by the Cabinet on 7 April 2014.

Strategic Transport Assessments

Reports prepared by Warwickshire County Council and ARUP. Received by the Cabinet on 28 April 2014.

Water Cycle Study update

Report prepared by URS. Received by the Cabinet on 28 April 2014.

  • SDC - Water Cycle Study Update - March 2014. An update to reflect additional housing numbers and extended plan period. Covers the individual strategic sites and the option for dispersed development and an overview of the whole District.

Habitat Regulations Assessment and Sustainability Appraisal

The two reports below were both prepared by Lepus Consulting. Both accompany the Proposed Submission Core Strategy.

  • Habitat Regulations Assessment of Submission Core Strategy – April 2014. Received by the Cabinet on 28 April 2014. Assesses the effects of development proposals in the Submission version of the Core Strategy on European sites of nature conservation importance connected with the plan area.
  • Sustainability Appraisal (SA) for Submission Core Strategy – May 2014. SA Report meeting the requirements of the SEA Directive. Received by the Cabinet on 12 May 2014. The SA assessed the policies and proposals of the Submission version of the Core Strategy and identified the relative social, economic and environmental performance of the Plan.
