Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils are considering a proposal to merge, creating a new District Council covering the whole of South Warwickshire (the areas currently covered by Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils).
The public consultation on the plans to create a South Warwickshire Council starts this week on Monday 6 September and runs until Sunday 24 October.
The consultation document and online questionnaire can be viewed and completed at: www.southwarwickshire.org.uk
In autumn 2019 the Council consulted on a Proposed Submission version of the Site Allocations Plan. This version of the plan is not being proceeded with.
On 15 July 2019 the District Council endorsed the Site Allocations Plan for statutory consultation in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations.
The original consultation period ran from Thursday 8 August to 5.00pm on Friday 20 September 2019. The consultation was extended until 15 October due to an error with an incorrect email address being used in a letter to residents. We recontacted those consulted on the previous consultation to allow opportunity for comments to be resubmitted. The consultation has now closed.
The comments can be viewed online using our Consultation Viewer. Select SAP Proposed Submission (Reg.19) Consultation from the drop-down list at the top of the page. You can then search by the topic of the comment or by typing the surname or organisation of a respondent. Please note that postal and email addresses, phone numbers, and signatures are redacted in accordance with data protection legislation.
Note: this version of the SHLAA has now been superseded.
