Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Shopmobility service reopens

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Shopmobility service in Stratford-upon-Avon reopens tomorrow, Thursday 25 June.

The service helps customers who have limited mobility and provides the opportunity to visit Stratford-upon-Avon town centre following the reopening of non-essential stores. 

Appropriate COVID-19 measures are in place to protect service users and staff.

In order to meet Government guidance and to provide the service in a safe way customers are advised to pre-book by calling 01789 414534. 

Cllr Jo Barker People Portfolio at Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: "I am really pleased that we can reopen our valued Shopmobility service. As the lockdown measures ease, it's important that everyone is able to access the town centre safely and securely once again.  We would also like to reassure service users that a number of measures have been put in place to achieve a COVID-secure environment."

The Shopmobility unit is located on Level Two of Bridgeway Multi Storey Car Park Bridgeway, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6YY and opening hours are Mondays 10am to 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

The service is for anyone of any age with a mobility issue, whether it be temporary or long term. You do not have to be registered disabled, have a Blue Badge or be in receipt of disability benefits to use the service.

The equipment available includes a variety of four and three-wheeled scooters, power chairs and an assortment of manual wheelchairs, Zimmer frames and walkers.
