Isabel Edgar Briançon will be leaving her role as Executive Director at Stratford-on-Avon District Council next month.

Although Isabel has only been with the Council for a short time, she has made a significant impact in a number of areas including:

  • Developing the Council's structure for the management of projects and transformation
  • Seeking to secure £13.4m of government support through Homes England to take forward the Long Marston Airfield development
  • Overseeing improvements in the Land Charges service that have resulted in the best performance in the service for a number of years

Isabel will be leaving the Council to take up a fantastic opportunity at Reading Borough Council (a unitary authority), and it has been agreed that she can take up this role as soon as possible. Given the annual leave that she has accrued, Isabel will not be back in the office before taking up this role.

Councillor Tony Jefferson, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, says: "We wish Isabel all the best for the future and hope the experience she has gained at Stratford-on-Avon District Council will be of substantial benefit in her future career."

Although no further statement will be made at this time, an announcement regarding the interim management arrangements for the Council will be made shortly.
