Spring has sprung and green bins are starting to fill with garden and food waste.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is reminding residents that they can put grass cuttings, hedge cuttings, twigs, branches and small logs (maximum 10cm diameter), plants, flowers, leaves, bedding from vegetarian pets and food waste in their green bin.

Easter also brings a lot of 'egg-stra' recycling. Easter eggs come in packaging that's 'egg-cellent' for recycling - the cardboard box, plastic insert and foil wrapping can all go in your blue lidded bin.

Tony Perks, Head of Technical and Community Services at Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: "It's great to see residents supporting us in our recycling efforts. With Spring and Easter upon us, we hope to see the amount of material diverted to recycling continue to increase."
