Stratford Leisure Centre hosts free open day for local community

Stratford Leisure Centre is unveiling its brand-new facilities to the local community for free, at a special open day on Saturday 30 October, from 8am - 5pm.

The centre, managed by leisure operator Everyone Active in partnership with Stratford-on-Avon District Council, will showcase its recently refurbished facilities - including a brand new, state-of-the-art gym and Wellness Suite - by inviting both members and non-members to enjoy a range of free activities and taster sessions for the day.

Activities will include swimming, gym / PT and a chance for people to try out its new Wellness Suite. Inflatable swim sessions for kids, with a spooky Halloween theme, will also be held throughout the day, as well as classes such as group cycling and body combat.

In addition, the centre will be offering two free roller disco sessions and hosting a Macmillan cake sale - so there is plenty of fun to be had for all ages!

Earlier this month, Everyone Active announced the re-opening of its newly refurbished gym area, which now features 90+ stations packed with the latest TechnoGym and Octane equipment for everything from cardio to resistance, strength or functional workouts, alongside a complete refurbishment of the gym area itself.

As part of the £3million program of improvements Everyone Active is making in leisure centres across the district, Stratford Leisure Centre will also be revealing its new Wellness Suite - showcasing its drive to support the local community by providing facilities that meet the needs of all individuals. 

Designed for those who are looking to improve their fitness, lose weight or increase their strength in a controlled social environment, the Wellness Suite has multiple health benefits. Featuring a range of power assisted exercise equipment, it is ideal for those coming back to exercise after periods of rest or inactivity.

In addition to the open day, free taster sessions for the Wellness Suite will be available from 30 October - 12 November, with an offer of one month's free membership for those who then join.
