Stratford-on-Avon District Council's COVID-19 business support schemes that have so far paid out over £33.5m to 2,854 businesses across Stratford district, will close at the end of this month.

In total, £33,541,000 in Government grants have been paid to businesses through the Small Business Grants Fund, the Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Grants Fund, and the Discretionary Grants Fund.

The Discretionary Grants fund has already closed, but the remaining two schemes are set to close on Friday 28 August.

Cllr Jo Barker, People Portfolio at Stratford District Council said: "These grants have helped to ensure the survival of our local shops, cafes, hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and many other businesses that are vital to our local economy.

"The vast majority of eligible businesses have now claimed but if yours hasn't, please claim as soon as possible before the schemes close."

Final grant payments will be made before 30 September 2020.

If you currently pay business rates, have not previously applied for or received a grant and fall under one of the criteria listed on our website, please visit: www.stratford.gov.uk/coronavirus and complete the online form.
