Stratford-on-Avon District Council is hosting a FREE Cycle Skills Course for children at the Recreation Ground in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Funded by Warwickshire County Council and delivered by BikeRight! these free courses are aimed at children who would have done their Bikeability Level 1 and 2 in the summer term as year 5 or 6 students.

Due to school closures in March, many children missed out on this opportunity to learn a valuable life skill.

The courses take place each day from Monday 10 August to Friday 14 August and lasts all day, from 9am to 3pm and teaches children, who can already ride, the skills needed to cycle safely on local roads.

Children are expected to bring their own bicycle and helmet and to dress appropriately for the British weather!

Cycling brings many benefits to children - independence, health benefits, confidence, cost benefits and parents can have the peace of mind knowing that their children have been professionally taught.
