On Thursday 6 September, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its ninth neighbourhood plan referendum.
Voters in Shipston-on-Stour went to the polls to respond to the question: "Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Shipston-on-Stour to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The results were as follows:
The number of votes cast in favour of YES was 931 (87.33%)
The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 133 (12.47%)
Total number of votes cast 1,066 - 2 rejects.
The turnout was 26.59%.
