Stratford-upon-Avon's award winning Victorian-themed Christmas Market is back!

A partnership between Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council and LSD Promotions, the 2021 event will take place over 4-days from Thursday 9 December through to Sunday 12.

The magical festivities will take place throughout the town centre with 300 stalls from local makers, producers and traders offering a variety of gifts and crafts, an international area and an extensive choice of street food including the traditional pig roast.

There will be merriment and entertainment with a plethora of street and staged entertainment supported by amateurs and professionals.

Cllr Matt Jennings, Culture, Tourism and Leisure Portfolio at the District Council said: "As we know the event was cancelled last year due to COVID, but we are thrilled that Stratford-upon-Avon's Victorian Christmas Market is returning once again.

"It's such a popular event and has something for all the family to enjoy - the whole town is going to be a hive of activity and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone over the four days.  It's a lovely way to celebrate the season and get into the festive spirit."

The Mayor, Councillor Kevin Taylor said: "I am really looking forward to four days of festive trading and entertainment.

"However, we must be mindful that COVID-19 is still a very big threat to our liberty and wellbeing. I would urge everyone to be vigilant in observing COVID-19 preventative measures so that we can all go on to enjoy a fantastic Christmas with our loved ones, which was so missed last year.

"I shall be out and about during the four days and hope to meet as many residents and visitors as possible to welcome them to Stratford-upon-Avon at this most magical time of the year."

The Christmas market will be located on Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street, and there will be an abundance of stalls selling street food and drinks positioned on Wood Street.

The market will be open between 11am and 8pm on the Thursday, 10am until 8pm on Friday and Saturday and then 10am until 5pm on the Sunday.
