Following the government's announcement that most households in England in Council Tax Bands A to D will be eligible for a £150 rebate on their bill, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils are putting all necessary procedures in place to ensure that those who are eligible receive their one-off payment well ahead of the September deadline.

The Councils' Revenues team who are administering the scheme expect the majority of households who pay by Direct Debit to start receiving their payment directly into their bank accounts during April and May. Eligible residents who do not pay by Direct Debit are all being contacted with the necessary information to make their claim for the rebate.

Each Council has information on their websites with detailed information on the rebate scheme which will be updated regularly.

Stratford District Council has also produced a leaflet for residents, signposting to the government and local support packages available to households, as well as organisations that are able to offer advice and support during these difficult times.
