To mark National Dementia Action Week, from 21 to 27 May, Stratford-on-Avon District Council is promoting the range of support available locally for people living with dementia.

The District Council has updated the original leaflet first produced in 2016, which details all the dementia cafes, day care and other activity groups available across the District for those living with dementia.  And the leaflet has gone from eight to twelve pages demonstrating that there are now many more services available; from more carer groups to dementia allotment projects and online services.

Cllr Peter Richards, Health & Wellbeing Portfolio says: "It is reassuring to know that there is increasing support available for people living with dementia and their carers.  Dementia has such an impact on people's lives - for those living with the condition as well as those caring for a loved one with dementia. The cafes and other support available in the District can make a significant difference to their lives."

All the information in the leaflet was correct at the time of printing and is available on the District Council's website at www.stratford.gov.uk
