Hundreds of traders will be heading to this year's Stratford Victorian Christmas Market to get everyone in the spirit of the season.

The festive event is set to return with more vendors and visitors than ever before ready to line the streets from Friday, December 6 until Sunday, December 8.

There will be a chance for visitors to indulge in a range of festive gifts from local and national vendors, with everything from original artwork, handmade decorations and jewellery, as well as award winning food and drink, including:

  • Stratford-based artist Roni. P (Veronika Pock) will be bringing along her limited-edition original artwork available in print and on slate, as well as a collection of Christmas card, placemats and coasters.

  • Family-run Gwatkin Cider will provide guests with award-winning refreshments to help create a festive buzz.

  • Oathill and Kinsfolk will be bringing hand cut jewellery made from upcycled pre-decimal coins. The stall will feature seasonal designs inspired by animals and nature to make a Christmas gift with a difference.

  • Hungarian Gabor Gyurko will be selling a traditional savoury dish from Transylvania.

  • Feast StrEat, the famous street food company will be presenting its presenting a new brand this year offering loaded Mac and Cheese. Freshly prepared macaroni with their creamy four cheese home-made sauce served with a range of toppings that includes pulled pork, blue cheese and broccoli, smoked crispy bacon or spicy chilli con carne.

  • There will also be a whole host of mouth-watering flavours of Chimney Cake on offer including walnut, chocolate, cinnamon and salted caramel variations of this creation that dates back to the 1700's.

Linda McGillicuddy from LSD Promotions, one of the organisers of Stratford Victorian Christmas Market, said: "We have an incredible variety of vendors joining us at this year's Victorian Christmas Market with something for everyone, whether they're coming along to sample fine beverages and artisan food or to pick up a unique handmade gift from one of our local and national vendors."

Organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council and LSD Promotions, there will be around 300 stalls, a traditional funfair which will include a carousel and much more.

This year will see the introduction of a Community Craft Fair located in the Town Hall on Sheep Street.

The Christmas market will be open between 11am and 8pm on Friday, December 6, 10am until 8pm on Saturday, December 7 and 10am until 5pm on Sunday, December 8. It will be taking place along Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street.
