On Thursday 29 November, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its twelfth neighbourhood plan referendum.  

Voters in Stratford-upon-Avon went to the polls to respond to the question:   "Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Stratford-upon-Avon to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"  

The results were as follows:  

The number of votes cast in favour of YES was 5,239 (91.21%)  

The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 505 (8.79%)  

Total number of ballot papers issued 5,810 - 53 rejects.  

The turnout was 26.11%.
